An Inspiring Day at GCSE Science Live! for Year 10 Students

On Wednesday, 5th February 2025, our Year 10 students visited The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester for the exciting GCSE Science Live! workshop. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to hear from some of the UK's top scientists, learn about different areas of science, and pick up some great exam tips from an experienced examiner.
The workshop featured talks from leading scientists, including Professor Robert Winston, Professor Jim Al-Khalili, Professor Sophie Scott, Dr Tim Gabriel and Dr Jessica Wade, who shared their passion for science in an engaging and easy-to-understand way.
Each student also received a booklet with information about the scientists, their work, and tips for completing the GCSE exam. Our students not only learned about the latest developments in science but also gained valuable advice to help with their Science GCSE and had the chances to ask questions.
The workshop was a brilliant way to get our students thinking about science and how it can solve real-world problems. We're sure it will help them in their GCSEs and beyond!
