Students Spread Festive Cheer at Royal Bolton Hospital
Tuesday, 9th December 2025

A group of Harper Green students visited Royal Bolton Hospital this week to help spread some festive cheer and bring positivity to patients, staff and families across the wards.
As part of our commitment to supporting our local community, the students began their visit by decorating the hospital’s Tree of Hope, adding handwritten cards filled with thoughtful messages of encouragement, optimism and compassion. The display will be seen by patients, staff and visitors throughout the festive period
The group then visited six wards across the hospital, where they sang, danced, rang festive bells and enjoyed uplifting conversations with patients and staff. Many joined in with the singing and several people shared how touched they were by the students’ kindness and positive energy.
Headteacher Ms Heppenstall said: “A huge thank you to the Royal Bolton Hospital for welcoming us today. It was a delight to see so many positive patients and staff and to know our students helped make a difference.”
We are incredibly proud of our students for the way they represented Harper Green. Their spirit and positivity demonstrated the impact young people can have when they come together to support their community.
Well done to everyone involved.
